Sure Cuts A Lot 5

There was an older post about getting SCAL4 to work with the Cricut which included several steps.

Sure Cuts a Lot 5 cutting software for CAMEO, USCutter, Silver Bullet, Roland, KNK, Janome Artistic Edge, GCC, Brother Scan N Cut and more!

Here is an easier way. This will work with SCAL4 or 5 for Windows and SCAL4 or SCAL5 for Mac. You do NOT need to have SCAL2 for this to work
  1. Make The Cut (MTC) and Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) are two very popular and inexpensive cutting programs with tens of thousands of users. A small portion of you may already own and have mastered both programs. Thus, I’m sure you are already comfortable using one or the other for those features you like.
  2. Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Sure Cuts A Lot Pro - Design & Cut Software for Vinyl Cutter Cutting Signs Graphics at Amazon.com.
  3. If you previously purchased Sure Cuts A Lot 2, you can use Sure Cuts A Lot 5 to make your designs and then send it to Sure Cuts A Lot 2 for cutting with your Cricut Personal/Expression/Create/Cake. Sure Cuts a Lot cannot directly cut with the Cricut Explore/Maker or Brother ScanNCut.

1. You need a copy of SCAL4 for Windows or Mac

3. After you install both SCAL and the Cricut plugin, start up SCAL, go to the Cutter menu and choose My Cutters and then Manage Cutters. Choose Cricut in the Company Company/Brand drop down list and then click the Add to list button.
You should now be able to cut with your legacy Cricut (Personal, Expression, Cake, Create). Please note this will not work with the Expression2, Mini, Explore, Maker). For the Explore or Maker models, you would just use SCAL4 or SCAL5 to do this http://www.craftedge.com/tutorials/desi ... nspace.php
